Cross-Literature: Tsuki no Knife and Modern Japanese Poetry

In gray are the lyrics to the song Tsuki no Knife by Suga Shikao, which I found by watching the anime “Honey and Clover”.
In blue I paraphrased a few lines from the Introduction to Anthology of Modern Japanese Poetry, translated and compiled by Edith Marcombe Shiffert and Yuki Sawa (published 1972).  I’ve mentioned this book before, in the post about Kotaro Takamura’s poem “Mars Is Out”.
These “cross-literature” posts might go one for a while… they’re kind of my sentimental escape for all the events going on in my life right now.  Hope you don’t mind, and I hope they don’t sound pathetic outside of my own head.  Let me know if they do; I’ll try to switch out of this weird mode.
